New Yoek, Aug. 10. The jury in the case of John H. Surratt are still out. There is no prospect of their coming to any agreement. Santa Anna has been removed from Campeachy to Vera Cruz, where lie will be tried for conspiracy against the Mexican Liberal Government. Senator Harris has published a letter in whicls he says that the present attempt of party leaders to secure political power by making Southern States Negro States is most alarming, and that the people of the North must not allow its success if they value their own freedom and prosperity. Secretary Stanton still retains pos- -. session of the War Office, but the President is preparing for action, and will soon eject him.
