BY Virtue of the Provisions of the Weights and Measures Ordinance, 1846, and the Weights and Measures Ordinance Amendment Act, ISGI. — Notice is hereby given that all weights and all measures for the purpose of sale or any other commercial transaction, excepting glass vessels, earthenware vessels, and casks, must be forthwith taken to the Weights and Measures Office, Police Reserve, Revell street, Hokitika, and there tested and stamped. And after the first day of October next any person who shall use for purposes of trade or commerce, or who shall have in his possession any weights or measures which shall not have been tested and stamped, will be liable to the penalties imposed by the Ordinance.
