The Screw steamship KAIKOURA. 1500 tons register, 550-horse power, W. B. Dabke, R.N.R., Commander, Is appointed to leave Wellington for Panama on TUESDAY, Bth OCTOBER, At 3 p.m. WITH HER MAJESTY'S MAILS. Through Bills of Lading are issued at moderate rates, and shippers may rely on regular delivery, in good order, in schedule time. This Company's Steamers leave Syd* ney on the Ist. and Wellington on the Bth of each month ; are due at Panama on the sth or 6th of following month, and will form regular connection there as follows : FOR SOUTHAMPTON : Leave Colon on the 6th or 7th ; arriving at Southampton 29th of each month. FOR SAN FRANCISCO : Leave Panama on 9th ; arriving at San Francisco 22nd of each month. FOR NEW YORK : Leave Colon, 12th or 13th; arriving at New York, 20th or 21st of each month, First - class passengers are allowed 3361b5., or 20 cubic feet for luggage; second-cla^s. 1681b5., or 15 cubic feet, which must be delivered at the company's office twenty-four hours before the departure of the steamer, when it will be labelled, manifested, weighed and measured. This vessel is 100 feet in length, fourteen feet beam, five feet three inches depth of hold, and draws less than three feet of water when laden. She has two direct - acting high • pressure engines, twenty-fi.ve horse power, which can be worked up to fifty horse-power. She has a large saloon ; ladies' cabin, and a hold capable of containing about fifteen tons. The CLEOPATRA is ready for inspection, and further particulars may be obtained from the Officer in charge, or at this office.
