POSTAL NOTICE.
On and after the Ist of January, 1867, the following rates of postage will be charged on' all letters and nowspapers posted in New Zealand fjr delivery within tho colony :—: —
I. — TOWN LETTERS.
Posted afc any post office within tho colony for delivery at or from such post olllcc : —
Not exceeding half-an-ounee . . . Id. Exceeding half-an-ounce, but nofc exceeding one ounce ... 2d. For ovory ounce, or fraction of an ounce over one ounce ... 2d.
II. — COUNTRY IETTEHS.
Posted afc any post office within the- colony for delivery afc or from any other post office ifchin the same province: —
Not exceeding half-an-ounce ... 2d. Exceeding half-an-ounce, but not exceeding one ounco ... -Id. For every ounce, or fraction of an ounco over one ounce ... 4d. 111. — IXTEttPBOVINCIAL LETTERS.
Posted at any post office ■within the colony for delivery afc or from any post ollieo in any other province within the colony :— Not exceeding half-an-ounce ... 3d. Exceeding liali'-an-ounce, but not exceeding one ounce ... Gd. For every ounce, or fraction of an ounce over one ounce ... 6d.
On all Newspapers posted within tlio colony for delivery within the colony, One Penny each.
