Per Alhambra, for Melbourne — llOOozs gold, Union Bank of Australia.

The brigantiue Mary, one of Spence Brothers' fleet of Melbourne traders, arrived in the roadstead from that port on Saturday. She anchored, but the bar being impassable and the weather threatening, put to sea again with the rest of the fleet yesterday. The fine moderate weather that prevailed during last week was succeeded yesterday by a smart blow from West and S.W-, that raised a nasty s-a. As the weather looked very threatening, the fleet of vessels at anchor in the roadstead up anchor and made for the offing, and at sunset last night not a sail was in sight from tho beach. Tenders for launching the ketch Florence h ye been sent in and accepted, and the work of moving her commenced and pushed forward with such vigor that the little craft now rests on ways, and is likely to be placed beyond reach of surf to-day. Except the very slight starling of a few planks in her starboard board bulwarks, she has received no damage. The steamer Bruce arrived in the roadstead from her southern trip last night, and an- . nounced herself in the usual manner, by sound of gun, followed by the glare 0/ a blue-light. She will leave again to-morrow for the northern ports, extending her trip to the new diggings at the Karamea. The good steamer Alhambra sailed for Melbourne on Saturday, with llOOozs of gold, shipped by the Union Bank, and thirty-five passengers. Having a few tons of cargo and half-a-dozen original passengers on board for Greymouth, she steamed down there with the Persevere in tow, transhipped them to her, and then headed away west on her Melbourne course.
