! Publications. NEW WEEKLY PAPER. ON SATURDAY, THE 3rd AUGUST, Was Published, the First Number of A WEEKLY JOURNAL OF NEWS, POLITICS, AND LITERATURE. The object of the Publishers is to furnish a full resume of the history of the week to those who have not the leisure to read the daily newspapers, or who have not convenient access to them. All the events of the week will be carefully recorded, and intelligence will be given by electric telegraph and otherwise, to the latest moment before publication. The literary department of The Despatch will comprise Comments on the Public Events ofthe Day, Original Essays, and Tales and other Selections from the current periodical literature. The Despatch will be marked by many special features, including " Notes and Queries," Popular Games, Columns for Family Reading, and Local Sketches and Notabilia. To meet the convenience of all classes, the price of the Despatch has been fixed at Sixpence. A very large Town Cieculation is anticipated. ADVERTISEMENTS will be charged at the following rates :—: — For first insertion, 3s per inch. For each subsequent insertion, Is 6d per inch, Advertisement will be received at the office, up to the evening preceding the day of publication.
