Rockhampton, July, 7. The Morinish diggings which were lately discovered in this neighborhood, . are yielding satisfactorily, and a large number of men, recently idle in Rockhampton, are finding emploj'ineut there. The news to hand from some of the older gold diggings is also of a more encouraging character. The sugar crop is o oniing in freely. Bbisbane, July 17. Payable diggings have been discovered near Clark's River, about 250 miles from Bowen. Those now on the field are making about 30s perday. Water is very scarce, and persons who may think of going there are recommended to'aet with caution. Yeate's station, near Bowen, has again been plundered by the blacks, who destroyed a number of sheep. The shepherds bolted. Disturbances have taken place at Toowoomba with the navvies of the Dalby section of the railway, owing to the non-payment of wages.
