(from yestekday's evening edition of the west coast times.) Christchurgh, Wednesday, July 24. One of the Christchurch seats in the Council is likely to be vacated. Messrs St. Quinten. and Barnard are mentioned as the probable candidates. It is rumored the Government intend to bring forward Mr Bonar. The Westland members will leave Christchurch by Friday's coach. No news of importance.
3.42 p.m. The schooners Wild Wave and Falcon have sailed for the West Coast. , . - The Airedale has arrived at Wellington, and the Omeo at the Bluff.
