RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Monday, Novemueb "5. Murd kk.- William De Lacy, who was remanded, from October 27, on bail, charged with conspiring to murder one Mr Fox, wus brought up. Inspector Broham said he was not prepared to produce the necessary evidence, and asked for a further remand. The, magistrate remanded the prisoner for eight days, intimating that he would accept the same bail as lie had done hitherto. Lunacy. -Mary Jane Smith and Daniel Boyle charged with being of unsound mind, were placed in the dock. The evidence of the apprehending constables were taken, aud ihe magistrate having considered the cases, remanded both prisoners for two da} s for medical euquiry. Obscene Language. — William M'Cotta was charged with using obsceue language in the pub.ic street. l'Ue prisoner, who behaved himself ia a most cavalier style in the dock, was reprimanded b\ the Ma gistraie aud fined L 2, or, in default, two days' imprisonment. James Wilson, alias Murray, who was remanded from the 2nd October for the muidcr of George Dobson, was again bi ought up, and at the request of Inspector Broham remauJed for eight days. CIVIL CASE. Ifcaacs & Co. v. VVatkins —Lll. Goods sold and delivered. .No appearance of defendant. Verdict for plaintiff for amount • claimed and costs.- | The Court was then adjourned till 1 1 o'clock to-morrow (this day).
