A melancholy accident, involving the death of a man named William Miller, a seaman on board the Mayola, occurred on the night of tbe 14th instant, at Wellington. The deceased had been on shore, and was going down the wharf with the intention of proceeding to liis ship, as was supposed, when iv stepping on board the Cambalu he missed hit footing, fell into the water, and was drowned. At an inquest on the body the jury returned a verdict of " Accidental death."
