August 26. The name of the inventor of the new rifle, a breechloader, which has just been adopted by the Emperor, for the French army, is Chassepot ; he is now in Paris, and he was heard giving most interesting details concerning this wonderful weapon of destruction. He says, by the end of September, a great number of the rifles will be manufactured, and ready for delivery $ tho army.
