' August 25. In the treaty of peace signed at Prngu*. between Pr-issia'and Austria, there was inserted, at the request of the representative of Italy, the following article :— " In the execution of the sixth article of the preliminary treaty of Nikolsbourg, and after the Emperor Napoleon by am bassador, on the 29th July, has declared officially at Nikolsbourg* that in so far as concerns the government of the Emperor, Venetia is gained to Italy, to be yielded to the latter power after peace declared, the Emperor of Austria accedes to this declaration, consents to the reunion of the Lom-bard-Venetian kingdom to that of Italy, without conditions or burdens other than tho liquidation uf the state debts recognised as belonging to the ceded territories, in conformity with the precedent of the Zurich treaty."
