West Coast Times. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19, 1806.

The Provincial Council meets to-day. Of the five members elected for Westluiicl three have already proceeded to Christ church- to take their seats, viz.. Messrs Baiff, lions, and \ v 'hall. It is to be hoped that the other Westland members will not defer the opportunity of presenting themselves in* their places in the Council, to discharge the important duties that h.ive been entrusted to them. Westland affairs will probably occupy a large share' of the attention of the House during the session, and it is to be hoped that they will be fully, fairly, and. honestly dealt with.
