Drunk and Incapable. — John Peters was fined ss, or in default 24 hours' imprisonment. Larceny. — Henry Cunningham and Thomas Carney were charged, on the information of James Howard, with stealing from bis hut, Scandinavian Hill, a bucket containing fifty '"pounds weight of black sand and gold, of the value of about four hundred pounds sterling. At the request of the police,- the prisoners were remanded till the 17th instant, to allow them to make further enquiries. The Resident MagistrateTemarked that it would be far better in all such cases if the police could support their v application by sufficient evidence. . '
