Lunacy. — John Lawson, on remand from the 22i\d inst., charged with being of unsound mind, was committed to the Lunatic Asylum, Christchurch, on the medical evidence of Drs. Ryley and Permott.
CIVIL CASKS. v Butler V. Dack.— For cartage. Judgment for full amount claimed, LB, and costs.
Berndt v. Jackson.— This was a claim of L 7 7s, for professional service*. A setoff of LlO had J>een filed, which was disallowed, and judgment given 'for the amount claimed, L 7 7s and 'costs. Falck v. Schlemon.VlFor goods supplied. Judgment by default for L 7 2s, and costs. Hamilton v.. Coates and Wright. — This was a claim made by the Hokiiika aud Kanieri Tiamway Company, for L 2 Bs, for carriage of timber. Judgment for the amount claimed, and costs. Hardcastle v. Brennan and Byrne.— This was an action brought by Mr Hardcaatle as sequestrator in the insolvent estate of Robert Walker, to recover the sum of L 5 1 7s, balance of account due for boots supplied by Walker to defendant.
