RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
(Before W. H. Revell, Esq.) Saturday, September 15. Drunk and Incapable. — Wiliiam | M'Vicher was fined 55., or, in default, twenty-four hours imprisonment. Conspiring to Murder. — William De Lacey, on remand from the 7th inst., was further remanded, at the request of the .police, until the 24th inst.. Wilful Murder of George Dobson. — Jumes Wilson, on remand from the 7th, was also again remanded until the 24th September. Forgery. — Andrew Orr, on bail, w#s remanded until the 17tL instant. Mr Orr was udmitted to bail on his "own recogni- . zancc in the sum of L5O. Monday, September 17. (Before G. G. FitzGerald, Esq., R.M.) Drunk and Incapable. — James Grant and Margarita Hewit were both fined 55., or, in default, 24 hours' imprisonment with hard labor. — Thomas O'Connor and Marion Robertson were charged with this offence. The former was fined ss. and 15s. respectively, or, in default, 48 hours' imprisonment with hard labor.^-Marion Robertson, failing to appear, her bail, L 3, was forfeited. LabcenyI — Isabella Johnston, alias Gann, was charged by Thomas Loughnau* with stealing a L 5 note. The accused was remanded until to-morrow (this day), and admitted to bail. Alleged Forgery. —Mr Orr appeared before the court on his bail, to answer, to the above charge, on the information of Andrew Funston. Mr South appeared for the defence. The evidence in the case wholly failed to substantiate any charge. The Magistrate dismissed the accusation, which was of a most frivolous nature, remurking that the accused gentleman left the "Court without the slightest stain on his. character. The Court was then adjourned until eleven o'clock to-morrow (thi3 day.)
