We extract the following items from the " Port Louis Commercial Gazette "of August 3 :—": — " Prussia has gained a great victory over the Austrians, and taken 14,000 prisoners and 116 guns. After this disastrous defeat, Austria consented to cede Venetia." "Calcutta, July 13: — Government has sanctioned twenty lacs to be expended in aid of famine fund ; the rice to be sold at coat price." -
