Graham ; 1 cask butter, 16 bdls bags, T. Priugle. We aro surprised that the Lyttolton has not returned from Okarita, and hope that nothing untoward has happened to delay her. She left here on the 7th, and is consequently very much overdue on her return ; for although the late floods must have rendered the Okarira bar impassable, and thus confined her inside from Friday to Monday, we should imagine they had sufficiently abated to permit her departure yesterday. Last night, however, there was r.o sign of her ; but we confidently anticipate her arrival to day. Very much is it to be regretted that 9he was not "here in time to meet the Gothenburg, at she would have doubtless supplemented the amount of gold shipped in her by 5000 or 6000 ounces. The p.s. Challenge left yesterday for Greymouth, for the purpose of towing into that port the schooner Mary Stewart, which h waiting for her in the roadstead. The rhange in the weather, yesterday, was most agreeable and refreshing, and imparted an air of cheerfulness aud activity to the river and roadstead, which ha« certainly been wanting during the last few days. Taking advantage of tho bright sunshine, the vessels at the wharf spread their .gpaked canvas to dry, and those which had boon delayed by the late rains in getting rid of their cargos sfrore to make up for the time thus Inst, by doublo diligence in discharging. At noon, the sale by auction of the cargoes of the Bonnie Lass and Sea Shell commenced, and we are glad to se* realised fair prices, notwithstanding •ome portion of tho latter vessel's loading 1 turned out slfghtly damaged. The cargo of the Bonnio. Lass, howover, was in excellent Loondition, considering the rough usage it has Bjeceived through her mishap. Two vessels in the river both from the same port :
