FRIDAY, AUGUST 10.
The Court resumed its sittings, after some business in Chimbers had been disposed of, at half-past one p.m. THE GREENSTONE CASE. A new jury was sworn in this case, and the same counsel as on the previous trial appeared for the parties (witbtfhe exception "of Mr Harper, who had left for Christchurch), viz., Messrs South and O'Loughlin for the plaintiff, J. S. Reynolds ;~and Mr Harvey for the defendant, Simon. 'The evidence was taken as read. Counsel addressed the jury, and 1 Mr Justice Gresson summed" up. Th« j*t-y being unable to agree, were locked «p for the night, and the Court adjourned till the following day.
