CniUSTCHTTRCU, Wednesday, 10 30. a.m. With regird to the' Maungatapu Murders, the following are new lints in the chain of evidence against the prisoners : — Sullivan has described the manntir in which the storekeeper at the Grey was robbed and murdered by the gang. The store was first entered by some of the party, who demanded his money. On his refusing, the assailants half strangled him, and promised him his life if he would disclose to them the place of its concealment. He did so, and immediately after they had taken the gold they strangled him, and threw the body into the river. A baker, who resided in the same quarter is also missing. He disappeared, having a batch of bread ready for the oven, and was never seen again.
