West Coast Times. THURSDAY, JULY 26, 1866.

We have condensed, as far as practicable, llie report of two d^ays proceedings i» the Supreme Court — that of Monday having hecn omitted in our yesterday's issue, to enable us to give full details of English and Intercolonial news.

By the steamship Otago we have later dates from Sydney (viz., to July 20), and by telegraph from Melbourne aud Adelaide. The continued pressure on our columns, obliges us to briefly summarise the contents of the papers, with the exception of the disasters on the coast of New South Wales, the narrative of which we have given in full. It appears that not less than a hundred lives are known to have been lost, whilst it is impossible to estimate the value of the property destroyed. At Sydney a public meeting has been held to initiate a fund for the relief of the survivors of the unfortunate seamen an I passenger? who have been drowned, at which a sum of L 420 was collected as the nucleus of the fund. The day-* during which the destructive hurricane raged with the greatest violence wee the 12th and 13th instant, and these were the dates of most of the disastrous wrecks recorded. The story will, "however, be found told elsewhere in all its melancholy detail. • We regret to say that bushranging. and sti«-ldng-up continue to be rife in New South Wales, resulting, in some instances, in fatal consequences. From Melbourne we learn that several changes have taken place in the Cabinet, the chief being the appointment of Mr Bindon as Minister of Justice, in succession to Mr iMichie, who has announced liis retirement from political life, and about whom there is some gossip to the effect that he contemplates leaving Victoria and pursuing his profession in New Zealand. The changes to which, we refer wilt certainly do anything but strengthen the M'Culloch administration. With this exception, and the perpetration of a dreadful murder of a wife by her husband, there is no local news of interest contained in the Melbo\irne papers.
