The s.s. Kennedy left Nelson at 9 a.m. on the 10th, and arrived off the Grey at 10 p m the following day. The next morning she crossed the bar and discharged 50 tons of cargo, and left for Hokitika at 10 a.m. on <ha 14th, arriving at the wharf at noon. Throughout the trip she experienced lovely weather and light easterly winds. The Kennedy bring 3 about 50 tons of cargo and 20 passengers from crreymouth.
The Lioness returned on Saturday from Okarita, wiiMier on the preceding day she towed tke lona schooner, laden With material to aid in transporting tno Bruce across the spit into the river. Both vessels arrived abreast Okarita bar at 9 p.m., when the Lioness cast off, and on her way back picked up the Lizzie Coleson from Sydney. With her charge in tow she crossed the bar at tide time on the above day.
The brigantine Li/zie Coleson left Sydnoy on the 3rd instant, with light N.E. winds and fine weather, and sighted Mount Cook on the 13th a* noon. At 3 a.ni. the next morning, then bring about 20 miles south of Hokitika, she fell in with the Lioness steani-fuj, which, towed her safely to the wharf at tide time the same day. During her run from Sydney she experienced light winds, chiefly from "N. to N.E., and fine weather. The Lizzie Coleson brings a futl general cargo.
