(from our oavn oohhespondent.) [The following appeared in last ovoning's Despatch.'] Nelson, Monday, 6.45 p.m. Arrived. — Taranaki, s.s., from tho South. Sailed. — Taranaki, s.s., for tho North ; Lord Ashley, s.s., for the South ! Auckland, s.s., for Hokitika and Molhourno. Mr Moorhouso, tho Superintendent of Canterbury, is one of the passengers por Auckland. Tho bodies of the four men who were supposed to have been murdered on the Maungutapoi havo not yet been discovered. Thero arc between sixty and seventy men engaged in prosecuting the search. CiinisToiitrnoir, Tuesday, 3.50 p.m. Arrived. — Tho ship Lindsay, from Norway, with timber. Sailed. — Tho Geelong for Dunedin. An accident happened on Iho Railway to-day. Whilst tho Station man was loading a drny, a cab horse bconme frightened, and striking the man on the breast forced three of his ribs into tho right luug. Ho was taken to tho Hospital. The "Press' 1 of this morning has an article upon the disfranchisement of Westland, in reference to a telegram stating the substance of an article in " Despatch.' 1 The " Press" thinks an easy remedy may be fouud, by tho General Assembly passing a special Act, so that the West Coast members may bo elected before the meeting of the Provincial Council.
