CHINA.
The rebellion in the North is again assuming a serious aspeot. Telegraphic communication with Europe via Russia is on foot.
The British barque Czar was attacked by piratical junks while entering the harbor of Hongkong. The pirates were repulsed. Tho general state of trade is satisfactory. Arrangements are almost concluded which will be very favorable to British commerce. The natives appear more anxious to cultivate more friendly alliances with foreigners.
