Regulations for tiik guidance op INTENniNo EXHIBITORS. An exhibition of tho produo^s, manufactures, and arts of New South Wales, -outh Australia, Queensland, Wostcrn Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and Violoria, will be held in Melbourne in 1866. The Exhibition will open not earlier than tho month of August, nnd will remain open for not less than two months. Tho Commissioners will bo prtpared to receive articles intended for exhibition from tho Ist to Iho 21st of July inolusivb. Iv order to givo the Commissioners tho opportunity of making adequato arrangements', forms of application for spaco should he sont in without delay, and in no caso will applications bo received later than tho 17th Juno, 1866. Intending oxhibitors aro request°d to givo a full, description of their goods on tho form on the other sido am' particularly to describo all, points ot novelty pr originality iv tho objects exhibited! X Exhibitors must stats whether thoy aro the designers, invontors, manufacturers, or producors of tho artioles ihoy proposo to exhibit. Tho Commissioners rcsu'vo to themselves the right to rcueivo for exhibi ion only, and not for competition (if spaco admit), any object not the produce of tho above-mentioned Colonies, whioh may bo considered to possoss espeoial morit. The Commissioners dcolino to receive any articlo they may think' unsuitablo to tho Exhibition, or objects of an inflammatory, offensive, porishablc, or dangerous character. Counters and wall space will bo provided. All goods and articles for exhibition must be delivered at tho building at tho ohargo aud risk of- tho exhibitor. Articles and packages will bo unloaded at tho building. Should tho exhibitors or their agents not be present, the packages ill pened by the oflicors of the Exhibition, and tho contents distrinuted with care, but at'lbo risk of the exhibitor. Tiokets will bo isßued to ovory exhibitor, his agent, or servant, to enablo him to pass into the building between certain hours to arrange tho articles for oxhibition Theso tiokets must I c prnduced on entrance, and given up when required. j Exhibitors may employ assistants to keep in order the articles thoy exhibit, or to explain them to visitors, after obtaining written permission from the Commissioners to that effect. Preo admission, within limits to be. Fixed by the Commissioners, will bo given to visitor or their agents. Effectual means will be taken, through the agency of the police and otherwise, to guiud against fire and protect the property in the exhibition ; but tho Commissioners will not be responsible for losses by fire, robbery, accident, or damage of any kind. Mcd ils or certificates of merit will be awarded in tho difforent classes Prices may bo affixed to tho artioles exhibited. Artioles of great size and weight, the placing of which will requiro considorablo labor, must bo sent on or before tho l£th of Juno ; and penons wishing to exhibit maohineiy or other objeots that will require foundations, must make a declaration' to that effoofc in their application for spaco. ' ' Any exhibitor whoso goods can properly bo placed together will ' he at fiberty to arrango suph goods in his own way, provided his arrangomonts are compatible with the general sohomeof the exhibition, and tho convenienoo of other exhibitors.
