Tho Ohallongo, p.s., attended upon the Otago S.S. Company's steamship Albion, this morning, carrying passongers for all Now Zealand ports ; and, wo boliovo, a fow for Melbourne, also took their departuro by this favorite vessol. The barque Alma arrivod in tho roadstoad on Tuesday night, from Melbourne, which port she left on tho 29th ult. Captain Mooro roports excoodingly light winds and fine \reather throughout tho passage Tho owners of tho Alma despatched their tug-boat Challenge yesterday afternoon, at four o'clock, for the purpoßO of bringing hor in. Having put her towlino on board she proceeded for tho bar, wlrioh she crossed in safoty, with the Alma in ohargo, and landed hor alongside tho wharf at half-paßt five p.m . The Alma brings a full general cargo in fino condition. The Koera, s.s., arrived horo from tho Grey this aftornoon at haH-past five, with a few passengers and a small quantity of cargo. Her agonts, however, had no idoa of keeping her idle here, and at once turnod her round for Bruco Bay, whoro they anticipate securing a number of passongors and storoß for this port. Tho" Lionoss, p.s., towed out, this morning, the cutter Australian Maid, bound for Christchurch, and afterwards Btcamcd down tho y ooa»t south, in anticipaiion of Becurinaj>*J>g.
