'fHE GREAT ENGLISH REMEDY FOR I GOUT AND RHEUMATISM- BLAIR'S GOUT AND RHEUMATIC PILLS —This Preparation is one of the benefits which the science of modern chemistry has conferred upon mankind ; for during the first twenty years of the present century to speak of a cure for the gout was considered a romance : but now the efficacy and safety of this medicine is so fully demonstrated by unsolicited testimonials from persons in every rank of life, that public opinion proclaims this as one of ths most important discoveries of the present age. These Pills require no restraint of diet or confinement during their use, and are certain to prevent the disease attacking any vital part. 'I hey can be relied upon as the most safe and effectual remedy ever offered to the public, and have been universally used in Europe and America for many years for the above complaints. Her Majesty's Commissioners have authorised the name and address of " Thgmas Proutt, No. 229, Strand," London, to be impressed upon the Government stamps affixed to each box of the genuine medicine. CAUTION.— CHLORODYNE. In Chancery. IT was clearly proved before Vice. Chancellor SirW. P. Wood, by affidavits from eminent Hospital Physicians of London, that Dr J. Themedical testimony of civil, hospital, military and naval practitioners pronounce it invaluable. It relieves pain of any kind, sooths the restlessness of fever, and imparts the most refreshing sleep, without producing or leaving any of the unpleasant effects of opium.
