EXPOSURE OF GOODS FOR SALE.
\ TO TIIE EDITOU OP TEE WEST COAST TIMES; SiR) — The and storekeepers resident in Revell-strcet have been put to a considerable amount of expense in making footpaths and roads ; but notwithstanding these expenses, they arc not allowed to place any goods outside their door-ways — in which we concur. But what I wish to know, is. How is it that men ■without any special license, can hawk, or place their wares opposite to tho door of any place of the same business, or fill up any public right-of-way without stop or hindrance, much to the annoyance of legitimate tradesmen ? If I understand a husincs license aright, it is to occupy, and transact business, within a space of 33 feet frontage, and not to occupy, hawk, and fill' up public right-of-ways with one business license. Apologising for this trouhlo, I am, Sir, ' Your most obedient servant, A Sufferer.
