Tho Albion loft Port Phillip ITonda on tho 2nd instant, at 9.80, and roached tho roadstoad last night, at 7.30, having mado the runInking into calculation lho difference in timein 4 days 19 hours. Sho loavos again this morning, for Nolson and ol'rtor Now Zealand ports. From tho " Okarita Times" wo loam that " Tho chnnucl of tho river, notwithstanding tho recent Hovcro gules, still continues straight and good, though tho depth of water hns materially diminished. Yesterday, at high tido, there woro about eight feot of wator, nnd if tho wenther continuos a 9it is, no doubt a groator depth will 6oon bo worn out." Kefoiring to tho loss of tho schooner Kate, tho snmo authority says :—": — " Tho wreck of tho Kato is being rapidly broken up, and tho wood floated across tho river. Wo should think that tho purchaser of tho hull will Bcarcoly see his money ngnin, when tho expenses attached are taken into consideration."

On Thursday last tho schooner Talcon, of Auckland, was sold by publio auction, as sho lay alongside tho wharf. It would scorn that this vessol, somo limo ago, got stranded at tho Groy, and had to perform tho overland journey. Tho oxponse incurred by tho mishap was defrayed by tho well-known firm of Messrs D. Girdwood and Co., Groymouth, to liquidate whoso claim, wo boliovo, tho Falcon was sold. In consequence of doubts existing as to tho legality of tho salo, tho vessol was knocked down to Mr Girdwood at tho ridiculous low flguro of £250, sovoral gentlemen present offering more than doublo that amount if the auctioneers would guarantoo a title. Wo hear that tho Falcon was mortgaged for £GOO provious to ontoriug on hor voyago to this const.

Tho " Groy Rivcv Argu9" of sth May, gives particulars of tho loss of tho Wonga Wongato tho north of tho Signal Station, as follows :—: — 11 It is with vory great regret that wo announco tho loss of the Now Zealand Steam Navigation Oo.'s steamer Wonga Wonga on Wednesday Inst, whilst attempting to ontor tho rivor. At tho tirao of her reaching tho bar tho tido was ebbing, but as thoro was nob much fresh in tho rivor, and as sho and other steamers have frequently douo tho samo thing, Captain Mundlo could not expect tho disastor whioh afterwards bofell him, Tho steamer ■ had got into tho rivor, and all scorned right, when lho strong current from tho soutliwurd caught hor port bow, and slewed hor, so that she lost stcorago way, and in a few minutes the unfortunate vessel was cast ashoro a short distanco north of tho signal station. Sinco her stranding thoro Ims been a heavy and high surf, which has knocked her about so much that, her back has broken, and other damages havo been caused, whioh havo led to hor being condemned. Sho is advortised to bo sold by auction by Messrs Maclean, Fisher and 00. today. Captain Mundlo is considered to bo blameless regarding this unfortunato affair, and ho has rocoivocl tho following lottor from tho Harbor Mastor :—: — To Captain Cteoncm Muneuj, s.s. Wonga Wonga. Sir. — Rofcrring to tho stranding of your vessel on tho 2nd inst., near this port, I horeby certify that at the thno you r<ttomplcd to enter the river tho bar was quito practicable. It is quito usual for steamers to cross tho bar both out and in aftor tho high wator signal is down and tho ilag denoting ebb tide hoistod. Being present tit tho time mysolf at tho Flagstaff I can testify that tho movemonts of tho somaphoro were strictly attended to by your vessel. I am, sir, yours respectfully, Titos. Cotjison. Harbor office, Ghoyuiouth, 4th May, 1806.
