jibe schooner Mary Jane was yesferday romoyed from the south beach of tho river to her berth in the tier. She is now ready for <»ea, and will leave for Onohunga at an early date. At high water yesterday evening tho Bruco was floated off tho " hard " und hauled in to her berth at the quay. During her stay on the bench she has been cleaned and pointed, and is now ready for another long spell of work. She receives cargo to-day for Okarita, and will leave for that port, weathor permitting) bn this evening's tido. The b.s. Wallabi loft Nelson at 4 p.m. on tho 21st, and anchored off tho Buller the next evening, but too late on tido to cross tho bar that night. On the 23rd, at 7 a.m., she ran in and discharged a fow tons of cargo ; sailed again the same tide, and crossed tho Grey bar at 4 p.m. tho same day. Romaincd at Groymouth'until 6..30 a.m. on tho 25th, in tho meantime discharging about 40 tons of cargo, and then left, reaching Hokitika at 9.30 a.m. The Wallabi brings a fow tons of cargo, 15 head of cattle, and 70 sheop. During her passage ,from Nelson light thiok weathor prevailed. The Lioness, p.s., arrived from Okarita yesterday afternoon with 120 passongers on board. She reports that, when entering that port on Sunday last with the cutter Volunteer in tow tho warp parted, and her charge in conaoquence took the ground on tho north beach. She, however, got off tho same tide, and whon the Lioness left had discharged nearly all her cargo. Tho James Paxton, which has so long 'boeu lying at Okarita, was yesterday towod to sea by tho tug, and is now on her way to Dunedin. The P.N.Z. and A.R.M. Company's s.s. Claud Hamilton, Gordon Ponsonby commander, left Nelson at 5 a.m. on the 24th instant, experienced light airs throughout the day. Shortly before midnight tho weather became very thiok and hazy, so tho ship was placed under easy- steam until daylight. Signalled Greymouth at 8.30 a.m., and arrived off this port at ,10.30 a.m. The Claud Hamilton brings 60 passengers, 10,000 sovereigns, and freight for Hokitika and Greymouth.
