NELSON. Tho Colonist of tho 11th insl. reports :— Trado continues' quiet ; and by importations, ox Dona Anita, as woll as by various consignments from Australia, tho market has been pretty woll stocked— any articles (oxcopt country produce) which wo noticed last month as boing short, aro now plentifully supplied. A fair business is still boing dono with tho goldfields, tho geographical position of Nolson continuing to give her a certain command of tho market. Flour, which last month was £26 per ton of 20001bs, has boen twico reduced, ami now stands at £22 ; the market being supplied by Chilian flour, of which thero has been recently several importations. We notice tho arrival at Nelson of a cargo of excellent coal from a new mino at "West Wanganui, accidentally discovered last year year by ono of our local stoamors which wont into Wanganui Inlot, in this provinco, for shelter. A small company was formed, and a cargo was taken out for Nelson, and another for Melbourne It is coal of flrsl-rato quality, with lasting power, and giving out a strong heat ; and we arc informed that a company ia being formed in Melbourne, with a capital of £25,000, to work tho mino.
