MONTHLY SUMMARY.
West Coast Times, Office, Thursday, Apiil 12, 1866. The English January mails supple* mented by telegraphic intelligence to the 14th February, arrived from Melbourne at Bluff Harbor on the 22nd March, and a resume of the news was received and published in Hokitika on the following day. On the 25th the arrival of the steamship Rangitoto from Nelson placed us in possession of Sydney papers containing the full telegraphic intelligence forwarded from Adelaide to those journals. On tho 28th wo received files of papers brought by the Claud Hamilton from Melbourne ; and on the 2nd April the mails themselves reached us by the South Australian from Melbourne via Dunedin and northern ports. We again embrace the opportunity to-day of despatching our Summary for Europe and the Colonies by the steamship Gothenburg." The story of the month will be found epitomised under its several heads.
