Soda crystals continue to be diiposod of at £13. Iv provisions, oheeae is stated to havo met with a ready sale at Is. 6d. in parcels, for best qualities. Rico is in a great measuro neglected, buyers not feeh'ng it safe to act until vessels 1 now on the way make their appearance. On the othor hand, holders show no anxioty to quit, onoouraged by advices from Calcutta, which state that the partial failure of tho crops doe* not warrant the expectation of prices receding j and .the Warrior, instead of a cargo, at was expeoted, returns with only ten tons on board ; and the bulk of shipments for tho season, usually mad* at this period, havo now beea advised. As yot, however, nothing beyond trade sales can be effected, at £25. A small shipment to arrive of Taylar, Walker, and Co. s bulk stout has been placed at £7 ss. Further trniactions in Bads'a No. 4 old ale are mentioned at £5 16s. Tho Carlisle Company's meets with buyers at £6, but to get rid of a quantity a lower figuro would ho accepted. Morrian's has been sold at £7 18s. 6d.. and at auction some fifty hogsheads of a new brand wore quoted at £5 12s. 6d. to £5 17s. 6d. Sales of Byass'e stout at 10s. 7*d., to arrive, have transpired. Some twonty hogsheads of medium sherrie* havo been sold at £79, duty paid. A parcel of 509 cases Associated Vineyards brandy hna changed hands on private terns. In teas, wo hear of * line of medium congous, in bond, having mot with » purchaser at Is. 6d.
