Luwacy — Johu Cooper was charged with this offence. Dr Ryley said that the prisoner was in a bad state of mind, but would soon recover if kept from the use of spirituous liquors. His Worship re-« manded Cooper for a week. Drunk and incapable— Edwin Finch for this offence was ffned 10s or 24 hours imprisonment. Dbunk amd Diiorderly— John Riley was charged with having been guilty of this offence, and with assaulting and resisting the police. Sergeant Hickson proved that his uniform coat and trowsers had been very much damaged by prisoner when the latter was taken in charge, and ' witness had been struck and kicked by him several times. Fined £l for drunk- • ness, £5 for assault, and £2 10s for damage done to uniform, or in default to be imprisoned with hard labor for one calendar month, CIVIL CASES. Frederick v. Hayes— -No appearance. Case dismissed. Hall anJ Findlay V. Stephenson— An action to recover £33 18s for goods sold and delivered. Judgment by default for the amount claimed. The Court then adjourned till 11 o'olook, on Monday morning.
