Dhunk and Incapable.— Thomas Collins was fined 10s, or in default to be imprisoned for 24 hours for the offence.

Lumaoy. —Daniel Oooney was charged with being a lunatic. A constable proved <hat Cooney had gone to the Camp and informed him that a man and woman were quarrelling on the beach, and Biiid ho was afraid something serious would bo tho consequence. The constable then accompanied Coonoy to the beach, and after walking some distance tlio latter said, " Thore they are"— -pointing to the water. The constable asked where ? and Cooney said they had rushed into the sea on hearing somo ono coming, and he could now hear them quarrelling there. He said they often did this, and as soon as thore was no one near, they came out again. Oooney 'then attempted to rush into the water, but' was prevented by the constable who at once took bun to the camp and looked him up. Dr Ryloy said ho had oxamined Cooney, who had givon him sonsiblo answers to questions ho had put, but at tho samo timo thero was evidently somo dolusion disturbing his mind. Tho Magistrate ordered Coonoy to be taken caro of until Wednesday next, so, as to give Dr Ryloy further timo to oxarnino tho unfortunate man.

It was proved that fomalcs woro walking on the beaoh at tho time the offences woro committed. His Worship fined each defendant in tho sum of £2, and remarkod that in futuro a heavior fine would be infliotod, as tho commission of euoh an offenco must bo stopped. > Tho Court then adjourned until 11 o'clock on Monday morning.
