An exhibition of the products, manufactures, and arts of Now South Wales, South Australia, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania, New Zealand, and Victoria, will be held in Melbourne in 1866. The Exhibition will open not earlier than the month of August, and will remain open for not less than two months. Th'o Commissioners will be prepared to receive aitiolea intended for exhibition from tho Ist to the 21st of July inclusive. In order to give tho Coin mission era the oy>portunity of making adequate arrangements, forms of application for spaco should be sent in without delay, and in no case will applications bo received later than tho 17th June, 1866. Intending exhibitors are requests! to givo a full description of their goods on the form on the other side am l particularly to describe all points of novelty or originality in the objeots exhibited. Exhibitors must state whether they are the designers, inventors, manufacturers, or producers of the articles they propose to exhibit. Tho Commit sionors reserve to themselves the right to receive for exhibi ion only, and not for competition (if spaco admit), any object not the piodnce of the above-mentioned Colonies, which may be considered to posses* especial merit. The Commissioners decline to receivo any article they may think unsuitable to the Exhibition, or objects of an inflammatory, offensive, perishable, or dangerous oharacter. Counters and wall space will' be provided. All goods and articles for exhibition must be delivered at the building at the charge and risk' of the exhibitor. Articles and packages will bo unloaded at the building. Should tho exhibitors or their agents not be present, tho paoknges will be opened by the officers of tho Exhibition, and tho contents distrimitcd with care, but at the risk of the exhibitor Tickets will be issued to every exhibitor, his agent, or servant, to ouablo him to pass into the building between certain hours to arrange tho articles for exhibition These tiokets must be produced on entrance, antV givon up when required. Exhibitors may employ assistants to keep in ordor tho articles they exhibit, or to explain thorn to visitors, after obtaining written permission from the Commissioners to that effoct. Free admission, within limits lo be fixed by the Commissioners, will bo given to visitors or their agents. Moot mil means will bo taken, through tho agency of the police and otherwise, to guard against (ire and proteot the property in th 6 exhi-' bition ; but tho Commissioners will not be responsible for losses by fire, rbbbery, accident, or damage of any kind. Mcd ils or certificates of merit will be awarded in tho different classes Prices may be affixed to the articles exhibited. Articles of great size and weight, tho placing of which will requiro considerable labor, must bo sent on or beforo tho 14th of Juno ; and penons wishing to exhibit machinery or other objeots that will requiro foundations, must make a declaration to that offcot in their application for spaco. Any exhibitor whoso goods can properly be placo 1 together will be at liberty to arrange such gooda in his own way, provided his amingemontj are compatible with the gonoral scheme of the exhibition, and the convenience 6f other oxhibitors.
