Tallow having gone up in price, has affected tlio sdap and candle quotations, which aro firm at a slight advance on former rates. The arrival -of tho Himalaya from London will add to our present stocks, but will not interfero with the markers, as tho stocks of most articles nro hot heavy 5 consignments aro vory few ; goods to ordor being mostly tho bulk of our Into rcceivals.
Tho (Tour market is very quiet, and prices are standing nt our last week's quptations, In grain no now wheut is offered, but wo beliovo Bovcrul lots are bought at O's por bushel, to deliver within a month. This wo may consider as the oponing price, which is not likoly to recede Tito quality of tho grain is very good; but many samples, from tho damp state of tho woathor, will bo considerably discolored. Oats nro being delivered in small parcols at 4s per bushel, nnd barloy at 4s Gel to 5s 5 tho brewers aro coining into tho market very frcelv, and buying up all good samples of barloy suitablo for malting. New potatoes aro finding a ready market nt £10 por ton, but tho supply is nearly oqual lo tho demand.
Tho horsrf market is overstocked 5 animals being 'difficult to quit.
