NEW SOUTH WALKS.

A Ministerial crisis has occurred in' Sydney, owing to Iho action taken by tho Legislative Assembly on tho appointment, of Mr. Burdokin as Treasurer in the Cowpor Administration. Tho t.M'ins of iho motion are not indicated in the only Sydney papera wo. have before us ; but \\v learn from the "Kmpivtj" of tho loth i-stnnt that it was curried by a majority of 23 to JU votvH, The lk Herald" of the same date siys: — "Wo understand that Mr. Cowpor bavin-;- advis-.'d his Excellency to dissolve Parliament, it has been intimated that his Kxaellonoy does not see fit to act upon that advice. Tim Ministry accordingly agreed on Saturday to tender thoir resignation. In tho course of tho last debate a point was thrown out that a combination would bo desirable, and some friends of Mr. CowpiT aro thought to bo anxious for such a result. But nothing effective has been done to bring it about, even if it were possible. It is probable that either Mr. Martin or Mi. Ptukes will bo sent for. It is the latter whose action in the House has brought on the crisis, but tho former has tho stronger party at his back. Whether any cooperation between tho two will bo attempted, or will prove possible, re . mains to bo seen."
