H r Martin and John Connell alias Ryan, charged with stealing four ensks of buttei\from tho solunner Alma, wore remauded till this day. Stbawno from thk Tehson— Evan Thomas was charged with scaling from the pmon of John Vincont ; but tho ovidence was very weak, and the prisoner was discharged. CIVIIi OASES. Franchim v. Constantino— Judgment in this ease, or rather these two cases (for cross actions had been amalgamated), was given, the magistrate awarding to Franohim L 55 lGs lOJd. Askwith v. Hawkins — Mr O'Loughlin for plaintiff, Mr South for the defonce. Thin Mas ft remanded wa^es case, and a verdict for the defendant was returned. Anderson and Co v. Wagner— Mr South for the pluntiff, Mr O'Loughlin for the defendant. After tho evidence for tho plaintiff had I een heard tho case was further postpoued till this day, and the court then adjourned.
