Carrying on Business Without a License. — Mary Ann Shannon was charged with .this offence, but ns sho hud taken out a licence sinco the summons was servod on hor, the warden dismissed tho case, und cautiouod the defendant.
Michael Moran v. Fritty Schluter —This was nn action for encroachment on complainant's section on Uip north apit, Mrs. Moran, who at- n tended through (he unavoidable absenco of her hushaud, said they bad taken up a seotion, on a portion of which defendant had built. Her evidence was corroborated by Mr Cooper government surveyor, who said defondant had built n fowl liouso on complainant's section, Defendant admitted that he had slightly, but only to tbo extent of six inches. A verdict was given for the complainant. Defendant to remove his fowl houso.
Dawson v. Young— Complainant alleged that defendant was occupying a part of a section in Revcll-strect,' {13 x 66 feet that he had taken up ten months ago. Defendant, on the other hand, proved that ho had the ground lie occupied ia November last. Tho Warden went to view tho ground in dispute, and, on returning gavo a verdict for the defendant.
Courtney v. Person' Unknown— Alleged illegal possession of section 356, Thero was no appear- • nnce of either complainant or defendant, nud thd caso wns dismissed,
