Flour has ft downward tendency, nnd may now be quoted at L 34 per ton for first Adelaido ; Chilian, L26to L 27 per ton. Oats dull of salo, 7s to 0s per bushel. Chaff has been sold at L 25 per ton— market well supplied. Hams and bacon aro scarce; Sinclair's and other good brands find purohnsers at Is lOd for bains, and Is 8d for bacon ; Colonial and inferior qualities dull of sale. Butter has boen in supply equal to tho demand 5 good Wellington is worth 2a 2d per lb. Tea has mot with a steady demand. Sugar not much enquired for. Cheese is scarco, and worth from Is 8d to Is lOd per lb. Winos and spirits are dull of sale, wllh the market fully supplied. Hennessy's palo brandy is worth 9s to 9s Cd per gal. in bond. Otard'a and othor good brands a shade lower. Geneva, IDKZ 17s 6d to 18s 6d ; told torn, £ 2 per caso. Wines, port and shorry meet with fair demand at last quotations. Bulk Beer (English) is slow of sale, colonial having tho preference. Bottled alo and porter, best brands 18s to 20s por doz ; outwlo grands 14s to lfls per doz. Oilmen's stores aro in good supply, realising fiifr prices. Dried frulta aro scarco, and ft parcel in the market, at present, would sell readily. New arrivals during tho week were few, and wo anticipate nh iraprovomout In pricos and a reduction in slock.
