(from our owx correspondent.) Melbourne, Nov. 25. Trado has been greatly affected by the tariff proceedings. In breadstuff tho decline has beon 'established but that is all. Adelaide flour is 'quoted from L 37 to L2B per ton. At the begin:ing of the week the Meanders cargo of Chillian : wheat, was placed at 11s per bushel ; on Thurs- ■ day 10,000 bushels, ex the Francis Henty, was 'quitted at 10s 6d. ; present quotations are, 10s •fid I'o'lOs !><!. Spirits havo been dull the de'lifand for New Zealand having, for ono thing, fallen off. ''Small sales of MartoU's have been made at from' 7s to *7s Bil, and for the U.V.P. 'tis l(d lia's been a'ccepte'l.. Rum, 10 por cent, •o.p , has been placed at '3s 3d to 3s od, and a largo parcel of Lochindall whiskey changed hands at 3s 2d. In ales there is no alteration. Bass's h quoted at L 6 1 5?. Tho principal business has been done in bo' tied stouts ; good brands are readily placed at 8s 3d, in bond. Candles are in good demand at the lately ndvanced r.i*es , and oilmcns* stores and provisions rate high. •Sinclair's hams have fotched ls'-l^d in bond.
