ARRIVAL OF THE ENGLISH MAIL AT ADELAIDE.
NEWS TO OCTOBER 1&
(From the Sydney Morning Herald, Nov. 18.) Adelaide, Friday', 3 p.m.
Tho Wonga Wonga arrived at Glenelg Pier at 9 a.m. Her passago to tho Sound occupied 101 hours, and from tlionco 92 hours.
Tho P. and 0. steamer Ellora, Captain Skottowo, arrived at King George's Sound at 9 a.m. on the 12th instant, having left Gallo on the 20th Ootobor.
Tho unusual detention of tile mail this month has arisen iv conscquonco of the delays of tho arrival of the P. and 0. Company's stedmers — firstly, tho Mooltan, from Suez to Galle, arrived at the latter placo four days after her time ; secondly, tho steamer Ellora, although meeting with only moderate trade winds during the passage from Qalle, ran short of coal, and was compollod to put into Freemantlo to obtain a fresh supply ; and most fortunately the P. and 0. Company, a very short time ago, sent 300 tons there Tho Ellora was thus enabled to proceed with her mails and passengers. She ai rived at Freemantlo ut 3 p.m. on the 10th instant, and loft at 5.39 p.m. on the 11th. Tho Ellora was to leave tho Sound at 11 p.m. on tho 13th inst.
