THE GAZETTE.
The General Government Gazettt of the 18th inst., contains the following proclamations and official notifications, affecting this district. The Westland district— the limits of which are deGnec'Jliy proclamation in the Gazette of the 16th October, to be a district for the formation of jury lists, under the " Ordinance to regulate the Constitution of Juries," and the " Resident Magistrate acting at the place called Hokitika," to be the " Magistrate meant and implied by the term Police Magistrate in the said ordinance." On the 14th day of December next, a Jury List to be formed on the judicial district of Westland to be formed by the Sheriff, and to be the Jury List of the district until the 28th day February next. '""The Judicial District of Westland as defined in the Gazette of the 16th October, to be a Sheriff's district, under the Sheriffs Act. George Samuel Sale, Esq., to be Sheriff for the district of Westland. On and after 3rd December, the Post Office at Greymouth, to be a Post Office of the second class for the exchange of separate maila, and to be a Money Order office.
