The Southland News of the 7th instant, reports: — Business on Patuiday was somewhat brisker than usual, and to-day, although very wot and stormy, a large quantity of loading has been despatched. A few lots of flour havo been moved, and some small trade parcels of groceries. Tho price of flour, in expectation of largo arrivals advised, is declining. Chilian is quoted at L 22 to L 23, Adelaide same as last. Pino countei sugars are scarce, nnd held for high prices. Spirits generally have been in rather better demand. Ale is dull, aud declining. Stocks, whjch are low, are fully equal to the wants of buyers. Our Customs Returns for tho past two days show a marked improvement on ordinary cleufnu^-oi.; for which, however, to some extent special 6iicum&tances may account.
