PORT OF GREY RIVER.
A tons Ail schooner, supposed to be the Afory Ann Christina, fiom Dune Jin, is off the entrance "bruising about — Argus. The Wnllabi, in leaving yesterday, through Fome mishap caught on tho slial'o'w 'slip that )iins across the river, and hung by tho stern until too late' to get out with the sdrae' tido. Sho will, however, leave to-day. -"Ibid. The Moyne, a' fine large schooner, of 92 tons, was last week towe.l round here from Hokitika l«y the Lioness ; but as she (lid not arriw : until somewhat late in the evening, she did not deem it prudent fo venture in. Not so tho Lioness, however, although it was dead low water. She cautiously feeling'her way, now forward and now astern, showed that fche was determined to be that night at least within the 'calm security of the waters of the Grey, and accordingly was successful. I'he captain of 'the Moyne states' that had he been aware of tho greater depth of water -ami facility of entrance the Grey possesses over Hokitika, he would also have made the attempt, and with no hesitancy or doubt of success. The ' Moyno has discharged her cargo at the upptfr end "of the township. — Ibid.
