SOUTH AUSTRALIA.
The " Register," of tho 2Gth, reports of tho Adelaide markets : — During tho early part of the month thero was vory litllo business doing, and rates woro tho same as before quoted ; but during tho last fortnight a chango has takon place, and there havo been a largo and constant demand for both flour and wheat. This, coming upon a baro mnrkot, has had a marked effect upon prices, which has been rising rapidly from day to day, and at tho present moment thcro is hardly anything olToring. Should tho demand coiitinuo, tlioro is no saying what oxlromo rales may rule for the remainder of tho year, as thero is not nioro than about -iOOO tons left on hand available for oxport. The prospects of the forth-
coming crop aro most discouraging, and under the most favorable circumstances na regards weather, we cannot look for an average of more than about eight bushels per acre for the crop of 1805-0. 'Flour has risen about L 4 to L 5 per ton. Tho market has been cleared of nil offering, at rates varying from L2O to L 23 10s per ton. Holders now ask about L 24 for country, and L 25 for town brands. Wheat is hardly obtainable, nnd prices bnvo risen to 10s per bushol. The farmers aro bringing but Httlo to tho market, nnd tho gcnoial idea is that Micro is very Httlo left ia their hands.
