The bar, which for the last few days lias been in a wretched state through the prevalence of S.W. winds and nhsenco of freshets hi tho river has caused great obstruction to communication with vessels outside. Yesterday, however, a new though small channel has formed more to the southward and having once broken through in all probability the river will again cut a fair passage, « liiuh will enable all our harbor si camera 'o resume work. At present the Bruce is the only boat that can get ontsidp, and she diags heavily on the bar in cros>>ing. Besides the vesse's mentioned in the shipping list, three small schooners (naires unknown) are at anchor in the roadstead waiting to got inside, tho Eucalyptus also intends coming in. The schooner Dolphin was successfully launched inro the river on §a'urday last, after receiving a thorough overhaul and recaulking. We are glad to see this smart little craft once liioro afloat, and tiust that her trading for tho futuic will be attended with such success as will speedily make up for the loss she has occasioned her owners 'hrougli this last mishap.
