IT is notified, for general information, that, at a date to be particularised in a futuro notice, probably in the month of ,Novembor, 1865, the Provincial Govornmortt of tho Province of Hawko's Hay will offer for sale, and lease the valuable lands, a description of which is hereafter given. ■ The districts in which theso lands ara situate have only recently been acquired from the native proprietors, and no land lias been sold in them. I.— -The township of consisting of about 600 town sections. This township will be sold .by public auction, and .offers, unusual advantages for settlement. It is situated on tho Wairoa, a river navigablo for in .ny miles from its ' ' month, with a vast country con-, taining largo blocks of rich agricultural land, and also an extensive pastoral district. Tho Provincial Government have about two hundred thousand acres in, this district to open up for settle--men t, the whole of this country is at present unoccupied, and will ' bo offered for public competition. 2. — Suburban land adjoining the township of This block will bo laid out in lots of from ten to sixty acres, and is nearly all rich agricultural land, a great deal of it abutting on the Wairoa River. It will bo disposed of by public auction. 3. — Agricultural land,adjo ; ining tho suburban land at the "VVairon, and Mahia,, and in different parts of the Wairoa and adjacent districts. There is a largo extent of really fine agricultural land to bo brought into tho market from time to time, ns demand for it occurs. This land will be surveyed, and laid out in sections, suitable for tho ocoupa' ion of agricultural settlers, and will bo sold to the first applicant at one pound per acre. Land for commonage will be reserved, adjacent to each block of o<jricultural laud, for. I4years, equal in extentto tho'quhn'tity of land sold or offered for sale. . 4.— Pastoral land,, about (120,000) one hundred' and twenty thousaiul acres of land, suitable for sheep runs, situato in Wairoa, and adjacent dis-' tricts, will bo divided into blocks not exceeding, in any case, ton thousand acres, and bo leased, by public auction, for fourteen years to the highest bidder. Tho sanction of tho Legislature has to be obtained before theso runs can be disposed of. fi. — Township of tho Mahia. This township will consist of about 200 town sections. It is ftituato at tho • the shipping placo of tho Mahia Peninsula and adjacent districts. . The land is good in the vicinity, '. and the Crown has a largo acreage there for disposal. This township will bo sold by public auction. 6. — Suburban land, at tho Mahia, adjacent to the township, and of good quality, will be sold in lots of from ton to sixty acres, by public auction. 7. — About six thousand acres of the Ahuriri Plains, woll known to be tho richest agricultural land in tho colony, and immediately adjoining tho Township of Napier. Theso blocks are held in leaso from tho natives for periods of twenty-one and twenty-two years, and will bo leasod, by public auction, in lots, suitablo for tho settlement of an agricultural population for like periods. A future notice will be issued, giving the clay on which these valuable lands will bo thrown open to tho public, and particulars as to upsot price, size of lots,- &c., will be published. Settlers desiring to makepermanent homes are invited to inspect the districts about to bo opened for settlement 5 they will find tho land of exccllont quality, and tho oliiuate the finest in Nlw Zealand.
