NO COMMENT BY N.Z. BOXING COUNCIL (P.A.) Wellington, March 9. Following the decision of the New Zealand Boxing Council in refusing to allow the Jones-Steve. 3 fight to proceed pending an inquiry into the control of boxing in the Hutt Valley and the suspension of Bos Murphy’s licence, statements have been issued by Mr. Stewart, chairman of the Hutt Valley Boxing Association, and- by Murphy. Both charge the council contrary to its rules. It is stated tHat legal action is pending against the council by Murphy to vindicate his name and to rectify the injury done to him by the council’s action in suspending his licence. The N.Z. Boxing Council is expected to make available all information when its inquiry is concluded. No comment is being made at the moment, on the statements by Murpny and Stewart.
